Hi, We're going to stay one night near Milwaukee airport in August prior to our flight the following day. Read about various car break in incidences here and at some hotel review sites. Is this a prevalent issue? I was going to stay at the HI Express MKE. Is that considered a safe area/hotel? If not, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
It's been a few years, but I stayed a couple of times at the Best Western (I think) across the street from the airport, and didn't give car break-ins a thought...but, of course, it was a rent car and I didn't leave anything in the car, so it wouldn't have mattered if they did or not. Generally, things like car break-ins at shopping centers or hotels are temporary in nature, because the break-ins get police attention and the thieves move on to something else. Is this your car that you're planning on leaving at the hotel? Bill
