Hi, I'm planning to visit Milford and join nature cruises on Feb 2008. However, I'm not sure whether to join Deep Underwater Observatory activity. Did anyone join this activity? is it worth? Many thanks
I enjoyed this place. However it depends on your personal preferences as to whether or not you will enjoy it. What you see is certainly unique and the advantage is that normally you don't get to see these plants, as they naturally grow a lot deeper than most people can go underwater. The unique characteristics of the fiords let these plants grow a lot closer to the surface and hence the observatory being here. This is not a thrill activity, but more an appreciation of opportunity to do something that would not normally be possible. Initially you could be unimpressed, so it pays to read up to know what exactly you are looking at. http://www.milforddeep.co.nz/
