what would the weather be likely be like in may and june in milford sound? what about this cruise at that time? thanx.
Be sure to take a jacket warm and waterproof. Can be getting quite cold by then. Hopefully though you'll get nice days, as in no rain. But it is a very high rainfall area, so prepare for anything. Beginning of winter can give you some amazing photo opportunities. Have fun!

Milford Sounds is amazing the cruise is great it will be cold and coming from a warmer climate it will feel extra cold to you there will have been snow fall on the mountains by then so it will be single digit temperatures -'s up to maybe 10oC at that time. Good Luck with the plans. You sounds like you are going to have a huge fun holiday hope all the plans go well! Chellenz

Very cold but very beautiful and tranquil. It may be too early for May but in June you may see snow. Expect temperatures to hover around 3-5 degrees on the sound so be prepared with warm clothings.

Wet! And probably quite cold. With extraordinary landscape comes the extraordinary temperatures, and at that time of year, any kind of weather could be on the cards. Don't let this deter you, though. The Sounds is one of New Zealand's most beautiful places, and we're very proud of it. You'll have a ball, what ever the weather!
