Hi, I am a frequent visitor to Mijas Pueblo but this year I a few days to kill before my visit. I really like the spectacular scenery in and around the village and I am not a fan of built up areas. I have visited Frigilana which was great but would be interested in visiting somewhere new. Anybody got a recommendation ?
Assuming you still, want to stay in Andalucia you could consider any of these - Alhama de Granada, Ronda, Gaucin, Jimena de la Frontera,Casares. All have spectacular scenery and almost no tower block type hotels. But to really get away from "built up areas" it is usually necessary to go even further inland because of the never ending development that has taken place close to the coast.

if you liked Frigiliana, then in the same area there are Competa, Canillas de Aceituno, Comares, and as said, Alhama de Granada. Depends what you want to do and how long you want to stay for, they all have their own attractions..

Hi and Shalom, going a little further afield, I would suggest Bubion. Bubión Travel Guide Spectacular to say the least and we loved it. Martin
