booked the tickets for 10 days in June, Marseille to Bordeaux with rented car. Its not a small distance, but we are stuck with the mountains/countryside. How much time should we dedicate to the Gorges du Tarn area, and Perigord (Noir) -Sarlat? Our itinerary will be more or less Marseille -Aix -Arles -Montpellier -Toulouse - Albi - Sarlat -.Bordeaux. What do you think? Which part is skippable, to make the rest more comfortable? Between Albi and Sarlat which one is better to stay and more interensting? Between Toulouse and Montpellier?
Thank you so much
I am looking at the train schedules from Toulouse to Lourdes on http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/ and find it rather puzzliing as a first time user.
When I try to book the direct service on Intercites 14243 (10hr09), 14245 (12hr32) etc on 5 April or other days before that, it shows Seat reservation recommended. But when I choose to Indicate My Seat Preference it shows No places available! Does it means that all these trains are fully booked now, practically everyday from now up to 5 April?
When I proceed to choose the journey the next page says: "On some trains, the place you requested isn't available for the fare you chose. We have reserved you a place with different criteria instead".
I can still continue to confirm the booking if I choose to, but will I be guaranteed a seat on these trains or there is possibility that I may not be able to get on the train?
On those services via Tarbes, such as TER 72705 connecting TGV 8585 at 12hr41, it shows No seats reservation required from Toulouse to Tarbes and No places available also. From Tarbes to Lourdes it shows Off peak and Mandatory seat reservation, and seating preference is available for selection.
I have posted the screen shots here for reference.
Thank you for your helps.

I'm planning on visiting Toulouse in mid-April and would like to take some time to drive around. I would like to make a day trip to a nice town on the Mediterranean sea and another day trip to a scenic/panoramic spot in the Pyrenees mountains not too far from Toulouse. I would be happy to receive your thoughts and suggestions for both day trips!
Many thanks in advance!

My husband and I, have just returned from Lourdes in July of this year.
We stayed for 2 nights in Lourdes, after we finished a long tour in Europe.
At this time, we were both not good, have a very bad cold & flu.
So, we can not enjoy to join with all the attractions in Lourdes.
I would go again to Lourdes, just alone in July next year.
I have some questions and I really need an answer please:
1. When I arrived at my hotel in Lourdes, is there any information that they could give me, about how to join with others to pray at night with candlelight?...
2. Is there any information for tourists: What, where, when and how can I do or see the main attractions in Lourdes?...
3. What are the rules for people want to have a bath?... Can we have a bath more than once?...
4. Are there rules for taking water from the tap?...
5. For people who are traveling alone, do I need to come to a special place to let them know?...
6. What time for all activities/attractions start and finish?...
Thank you very much for the answer.
Does Mirepoix have a lot of non-French people living there? We were in Caunes-Minervois last year and were dismayed to see that it was populated largely by Brits, Canadians, and Americans. We prefer immersing ourselves in French culture.
My boyfriend and I are visiting toulouse from 26th August to 2nd September. We'd like to get a few day trips in and see the surrounding areas. We particularly would like a day trip visit to a vineyard as we love wine! And we'd also like a trip to one of the coastal areas so we can walk along the beach and sit by the sea for a while.
We would like to travel by train for any day trips but are considering hiring a car if its easier.
If anyone can recommend places to visit, that would be fantastic!
P.s. we'd also like to visit the space museum - is this walking distance from toulouse?
What is THE cheapest public transportation from toulouse to lourdes? I have read there is a train for 26 euro but i hope there is something cheaper.

I was planning of travelling to Lourdes with my in-laws and 2 small kids in July but due to a delay in visa formalities I have to reschedule the trip. How cold in October/November would the Lourdes bath water be in which the pilgrims take a dip?
Please suggest public transport options for travel of single woman from Toulouse to Limeuil.
I am planning to go to Lourdes from Barcelona (by train) then to Paris in September. Any suggestion how should I do my trip? Thank you.
I am planning a trip to Toulouse as part of a 3 week France adventure. The primary reason for my trip down to Toulouse is to visit the Airbus factory but I am having trouble getting tickets.
There seems to be limited availability on the site for September tours. (tours on 3 days only) I work in wholesale travel and have contacted some contacts I have at the French Tourist Board here in Australia and they think maybe they are only released closer to collection (possibly like train tickets 90 days prior). July is showing availability on 10 times as many days.
Can anyone clarify this or been in the same situation? I have contacted the operator and local tourist office but they were no help. I do not want to book accommodation/train if I can't get tickets.
Any one know about this?
