I'm spending a few weeks in Jordan starting December 21. Given the proximity to Christmas, I'm interested in going to Bethlehem and Jerusalem from December 24-26 or so just to see the festivities. I'll be in Amman from December 21-24. Will it be difficult to get from Amman to Bethlehem on December 24, stay there the night, head to Jerusalem on December 25, stay the day there, then return to Amman on December 26?
My specific questions are:
(1) Will the border crossings be worse than normal around this time of year?
(2) Will it be harder than normal to book bus travel this time of year? What buses are the best to use?
(3) Best time of day to leave and return?
(4) Any other tips?
Thanks very much in advance and sorry if these questions have been answered before, but I couldn't find anything specific to the Christmas holiday time period.

I'm planning a trip to visit Lebanon at the end of December. I'm going with my bf who is a Lebanese citizen and will be staying with him and his family in Saida and also visiting Beirut. However, the US embassy has issued a travel warning for all US citizens against travel to Lebanon, which is making me second guess the trip.
I just wanted to know any other personal opinions of how safe they felt visiting there. I'm also blonde, which makes me feel I will stand out. Will there be issues? Or since I'll be visiting with other Lebanese people, will I be okay? My bf and his family assure me everything is fine, but I would like some opinions from others who were tourists.
Hello! I just find this web.
And I got several questions about horse riding in Cappadocia.
1.Anyone can recommend me a good ranch to choose?
2.I have read several reviews on Tripadvisor about the Dalton Brothers Ranch, most are good, but some people have very terrible riding experience. I want to know that if anyone here who has really had a ride with Dalton Brother can tell me your experience?
3.My hotel gives me a good price of assiana balloon (Mavi Ay Ballooning), but I see few reviews about them. Anyone can give some advice whether to choose them or not?
Thank you very much!
can you tell me if it's best to fly from Amman to Tel Aviv or do the crossing via the King Hussein bridge? my father and I are us Citizens and would like to make this crossing as simple as possible.

We are flying from Singapore into Doha on March 2, arriving at just after midnight. I read that we can get visa at the Doha airport upon arrival, but we are trying to avoid ending up on a long line at 1 AM, so we thought we could get the visa before leaving the US. We leave the US on Jan. 15 and will be on a cruise ship for almost the entire time before we fly to Doha at the end of a cruise. The Qatar embassy in Washington has only one person who deals with tourist visas, and he has not returned two phone messages. The information online makes it look like a complete hassle to get a visa in advance. They require a letter of invitation, but I don't know from whom, since we decided to visit Doha for sightseeing on our own, and thus have not been "invited". They also require three months' bank statements. The entire situation is exacerbated by the fact that we cannot apply for a visa more than 60 days before we arrive, which means that somehow, about January 1, we have to mail our passports and visa applications to the embassy in Washington, and hope to have them back before the 15th...not a very encouraging situation. I am tempted to just cancel our airline tickets from Singapore to Doha and Doha back to Chicago, and find a flight directly from Singpore to Chicago.
Has anyone gone through this routine of getting a visa in advance? How bad is it? How much of a hassle is it to just show up at the Doha airport with the intention of getting a visa upon arrival? What type of documentaion, photos, etc., does one need to do it that way? Is Doha interesting enough to justify going through all this?
Hi. I am interested in hearing from Canadians about any recent (ie. last 12 months) experience they have had in applying for an Iranian visa. Were you accepted or rejected ? And were to applying to travel on your own, or with a group tour ? I'm trying to gauge whether Canadians are usually accepted or rejected, and if that acceptance or rejection is based on whether they are applying for individual travel or group travel.
