are there any effect of ramadan in alanya or everythings still normal on the night life

Hi. I need some help for planning a 9 day trip from October 20. Is it possible to see Jerusalem, The Death Sea and Eilat for diving ? Our ( my wife and me) plans is to stay 3 or 4 nights in Tel Aviv and make one or two daytrips to Jerusalem, before renting a car and going south. The day of departure we have a late flight, so I'm thinking of going directly to Tel Aviv airport from Eilat. How does this plan look for you experts ? Best regards Jesper

I will be in Dubai from 10PM to 6:30PM the next day. I want to visit Burj Khalifa but I can do it only from 8:30AM. I have a lot of time at night. I search some observation deck which is open at night and give a nice view to Dubai at night :)

Hi, which area do you recommend to stay?

I am scheduled to travel July 13-July 30 to Lebanon.. I will be traveling to all christian areas but staying 20 mins by car from Tripoli. The trip is slightly political in nature. Our group will do interviews and be in the press. The majority of us are Americans of Lebanese descent. Should I consider not going with the US getting involved with the Syrian conflict ? I am concerned being American and being in the press and being prime targets even though I am of part Lebanese descent.

We will be travelling July 4 for 2 weeks in turkey. Going to Istanbul, Cappadocia, Kusadasi, Fethiye. Should I cancel my trip due to the recent protests? Have things gotten worse?

I've talked to several people and seem to get varing answers. I have the opportunity to work in Ramallah for a month, however as a very western looking american female I'm converned about safety issues. Is Ramallah a safe place for a single female? How are other areas of the West Bank with regards to the acceptance of a professional female? I have been told not to go out alone at night, but day light hours are ok. Also, would I need to wear a head scarf? How to locals react to single american females?

I’ve just booked a last minute flight to Antalya with my destination of Urfa. So I’ve got a lot of research to do. But if anyone can offer a rough itinerary of places to stay/see I would be most grateful and then I can fine tune it to my needs.

I’m making my way to Urfa from Antalya then back to Antalya, I’m reasonably fit so like walking, historical sites, architecture, wildlife. I’ll have 10 days not including my flight days. I’m leaving next week. Not decided to travel by bus or hire a car as yet.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a bus trip from Ankara to tbisbili in Georgia. I was in Ankara last year to get a train to tehran and I noticed there was a stand for buses to Baku and azerbijian. So there for to get to Baku from Ankara there must be buses that go to and through Georgia.

I do now about the train to jars that takes 24 hours but from kars it's buses to batumi and the capitaly

What is the climate for Americans who are traveling in Lebanon right now?

Hello everyone,
We'll be visiting Turkey this summer, and during our stay, we'll spend a few days with a local family. We don't know them at all, but they've invited us because their adult child lives in the States and she is our good friend (and she'll be there this summer, too.) So we were thinking that we should bring some kind of small (packable) gift to them. Chocolate (might melt)? A porcelain dish made locally where we live? A knitted item (made locally)? What do Turks usually give when they go somewhere as a house guest?
