Hi looking to Miami art deco area I know Miami is a very crime ridden etc but in the tourist section? I might laugh or not I really don't want to do the tour thing since I am independent & street smart I have to ask is it easy to walk away from the tourist area & get lost never to be seen again in Overtown little haiti etc or is that walk a little too far? I do watch the 1st 48 ya know! LOL anyway as I'm cautious but not scared what is the deal with the off beaten path & what about if I want to go to Little Havana? Is it safe for as single white female? I also would like to know what the best streets are for shopping on the cheap & good food narrowing it down to just 3 block radius or two streets only? And is the Aventura mall close to the art deco area to walk to? Would like to go in June
any feedback is appreciated thanks
I'm currently visiting Orlando FL and considering a day trip to Miami to visit Little Havana. Would you recommend such a trip or is to far for a day trip? Thank you so much for your responses.

Hi there! My friends and I were thinking of going to a beach somewhere in Miami. We heard some nice places there, so we chose the area. But we want to do something different aside from swimming. What do you think are the other activities that we can do there? Any suggestions will help. Thanks a lot!:)
Hi, my husband and I are spending a couple of weeks in Miami Beach and would like to visit Biscayne National Park. Problem is, neither of us drives, hiring private transport is way too expensive, and public transport to Homestead seems to be a huge headache and takes 2 hours one-way. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to get to the Park or to Homestead? Perhaps a transport company that's not too pricey or some tour operator that might help? Thanks!
My wife and I have decided to stay at the "Z" Crowne Plaza near South Beach and would like some recommendations on what to see and do. We will be there for 2 1/2 days mid September. Are there restaurants you would recommend (we enjoy ethnic and seafood at a good value). Are there any short day/evening cruises that you would highly recommend? When would you recommend going to the beach and are there times to stay away from it? I appreciate any help/recommendations you can give us, thank you very much!!!
My wife and I will be spending 2 1/2 days during Mid-September in the Miami/south Florida area and we are would appreciate recommendations on whether to stay in the South Beach area or take a trip to Key West? If you would, please list the pros/cons of each. If we stay in the South Beach area, we are leaning towards the Holiday Inn Miami Beach-Oceanfront and would like any opinions on this hotel. One concern is transportation to/from the South Beach area. Are there cost effective methods of getting around this area? We could have a rental car, but we are not sure if it would be useful due to limited parking, etc... Do you have any idea how much taxi fare would be from this hotel to the South Beach area? Are there any other methods of transportation in the area? Thank you so much for any help you can give.

Any info on what rules or any kind of info would be helpful. Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience with "Riu Florida Beach" ? It came recommended, but I've read some terrible reviews ... and some good ones ... So I'm not so very sure anymore ... Thanks for the help ! Jessika
Hey there dear people. We're a group of students coming to Miami beach in March for a spring break. There will be between 8 and 11 of us and we need THE CHEAPEST POSSIBLE accommodation. We literary need a place to sleep over during nights and take a shower and that's it. :)) As we're a big group, and we'd like to be together, we thought about the possibility to rent a house or an apartment for 7 days. Is that possible and how can we do that? How much would that cost? Thank you SOO much! Nice kids.
Hi there, I am looking at taking my honeymoon next year in the States. I plan to spend a week in New York and New England and a week in Miami. I understand June and July are in the hurricane season in Miami but is that a good reason to avoid the area? Does it tend to be fine during this time of year? What I am really after is a beach holiday to relax after sightseeing in the New York area. Thanks for any help Peter
Hello, My boyfriend and I booked a trip to Miami for a week in October. We like sports a lot and we thought it was a great idea to see a NFL match, so we got tickets for Dolphins Vs Patriots on 4th October 2010. We have been searching and Sun life stadium is in the middle of nowhere. We don't drive so it is out of the question renting a car. Browsing a lot we realized that it is possible to go by bus to the stadium, even if it is a very long journey, but we are worried on the way back, like walking after midnight to a bus stop in the middle of nowhere. Taxis should be really expensive!!! Isn't there any shuttles or special buses that we could take, or divide costs with people attending the match? Even a forum for carpooling or something... We will be staying in 67thSt and Collings avenue! Thank you in advance for your help!
help please? where to stay in miami beach? is south beach better? would like to be near beach bars & close to shops etc. any recommendations? thanks in advance
What bus do I take from the airport to reach collins and 34th st.?
I'm asking this Q for some German friends staying with us in Pennsylvania now and heading to Miami Beach for a week on Wednesday. 30 yr old couple, no kids. They do not have anything planned so I am trying to help out a little. They plan on renting a car. In addition to spending time on the beach and night clubs, they want a memorable day trip or two. He was thinking of Everglades and/or driving to Key West. Can you tell us your opinion or pros/ cons of each of the above day trips. Also, do you have any other suggestions of good things to recommend they see while in Miami Beach? Thanks Jim K
