a day trip to bahamas, what is the best way to organize

Hi, I am coming to Miana south Beach for a week between Christmas New year, i would like to know whihc is the best way to go for a day trip to Bahamas, is the weather ok for Cruise in December, advise how to get to the port where cruises sale to Bahamas, is one day trip worth? Thanks for advising!
