spring break in April?

Hello, Im gonna visit the US(and maybe Canada) in April and am thinking about going to Miami for a few days during spring break to see if american college students are really as they say on TV ;). (just kidding) Anyways I know the main season for this is march, but do I have any chance of witnessing a typical 'spring break' crowd when I go there during the 2nd or 3rd week of April? thank you
