we're returning from our cruise on christmas day and staying in sunny isles. Any suggestion for a good place to eat christmas dinner? We're a group of 10 (4 kids 7 and under, 4 adults & 2 seniors). Is there a good buffet or kid friendly restaurants someone can recommend. ALthough we'd like to have a nice dinner, we also don't want to spend an arm and a leg. A buffet would probably be the best since it has a variety of food, etc. Would like to make reservations somewhere soon as don't want to be eating at mcdonalds on christmas day! thanks in advance! Yvonne
My husband, brother and I are going to be in Miami this weekend for the Broncos/Dolphins game (go Broncos!!!) and was wondering if anyone has good advice for parking on gameday? We have been to a Rams game in St Louis one year and to Nashville another year and parking both times were terrible because we had never been there before and were not familiar with the area. I really don't care about the cost so much as I do the safety of my vehicle...and seeing as how I will be sportin' my Broncos colors in 'enemy territory', parking somewhere safe is ideal. Any advice is welcomed! (Unless you're a Dolphins fan and give me directions to the bad side of town on purpose!) ;)
I have a group of 20 plus men ages 30-50 traveling to Miami at the end of June 2012 to see the Marlins play. This group likes to drink and eat. Where should we stay and do you have any hotel recommendations? We usually stay near bars, taverns etc. Some of the group will hit the beach and others will lay in the bars.
Me again! Can anyone recommend a hotel near the Miami Cruise Port? Ideally one with Airport a cruise shuttles! I found one called the motel blu but the reviews wern't great!
Can anyone confirm how much it would be from a Miami Airport Hotel to Miami Cruise Port in a Taxi? I've been told that Carnival charge approx28.00pp and I wanted to see if it would be cheaper to get a taxi cab?
Hi, I am flying into Miami from the UK (via NYC) on 16th December and I have realised that I should have been arriving on 15th (or earlier on 16th) in order to join a Carnival Cruise departing at 4pm on 16th. However I have contacted the company to see if I can change my flight and they want £420.00 (approx.630.00) to change the flight to just a few hours earlier - its a joke as I can actually book the earlier flight for less than £300.00! So my question is about if there is another cruise company that offers the same kind of fares and product from Miami (can consider alternative FL ports). Cannival have other cruises but they are either out of my price range or would mean staying in Miami for 3-4 nights which really messes up our itinerary as we have 3 nights in Sarasota booked before arriving in Orlando just before Christmas!
Hi, were going to Miami on saturday and we've never been before. were in the Hyatt Regency in Downtown and i wondered where is good to eat in miami? is there anything like a golden coral or a ponderosa sort of thing for when you want something simple? what is there to do in downtoWn Miami or are best going to South beach for things to do? I've heard people say stay of the monorail at night is this right? also what's the nightlife like in Downtown or are we better in south beach again? Thanks
My hubby and I am taking the greyhound bus to Miami and when we get there, we will need to get transportation to the Port of Miami to get on our cruise ship. I am wondering how far the Port of Miami is from the Greyhound station on NW 27th ST. and what is the best transportation to get there? How long does it take to get to the port from the bus station? Thank you, Amozark
Hi all I am visiting Miami in a couple of weeks and am staying in the Collins Avenue area. I have visited Miami before and have an idea of what I plan to do. However there were a few things I could do with some info on. First I am vegetarian (vegan when possible). I have seen a few possible restaurants in Miami but would appreciate any info on vegetarian/vegan friendly places to eat. Also, does anyone know of good bars in the area with good cocktails and preferably happy hours? I've read it's difficult to get into clubs there - is this true? If so, which clubs are not difficult to get into? Any info would be appreciated. I have done many searches on the internet but working out locations, what is still open and current happy hours is taking a long time and I thought maybe some of you may be regulars/local. Many thanks Sam
Hi all We will visit Miami Beach again in October, this time just Miami. We wonder if there is something like Wet 'n Wild. Kind Regards, Ron Ploeg The Netherlands
travelling with my sister's family and my parents (6 adults and 4 kids under the age of 8) on a southern carribean cruise. Dock Dec 25th and leaving dec 29th. wondering where's the best place to stay. We don't have to stay in miami, but want somewhere affordable AND close to various attractions that kids and adults could enjoy. I know the trirail is a transportation alternative, so wondering if any of the places along the route might be more suitable than miami beach. Looking at vacation rentals as would be great to be able to stay in one house, but don't really want to pay more than300-400/night for the 10 of us. So questions are: 1) suggestions on where to stay (kids friendly attractions close by, affordable, safe) 2) what are definite must sees? NOTE: we're also up for staying a few days in one place and a few days in another place. thanks in advance for suggestions/help! yvonne

Hi everybody! My husband and I are spending 4 days and 4 nights in Miami starting on August 30th. We are considering renting a car and we would love to make a day trip either to Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Key Largo or St Petersburg. We could stay overnight if necessary. We haven´t decided yet where to go as we were told that this is not the best time to visit the keys (or the Everglades because they´re dried out...). Is this true? Any advice for this trip will be really appreciated. Thank you all.

A friend is visiting me in Atlanta from Germany and we just decided to take a spontaneous trip to Miami. Any recommendations for rentals or unusual hotels that are not too expensive would be very well received. We will likely have a rental car and do not want to be in the thick of the touristy scene. I know nothing about Miami but am looking forward to exploring. We would love to find some cool dive bars, places to see local bands not too mainstream, record stores, flea markets, retro architecture... I am also wondering if there are any beaches that might be off the beaten path that are not too crowded. Can't wait for the authentic Cuban food!
I am wondering if any one knows that shuttle time for Port of Miami at the La Quinta Inn Miami Airport East? This will greatly help me make my hotel decision. Thank you.
Hi! I need to get from Port Canaveral to Miami Beach, what kind of a transportation do you recommend: rent a car, take a bus (is there a bus connection?), take a taxi or what? If there is a bus connection, where can I find more information? (timetables, routes...)

Any info on what rules or any kind of info would be helpful. Thanks.
