my wife has the best taste in everything!!!!!! and has found the Rosewood Mayakoba......My wallet isn't laughing..... are there any equivalent hotels for less or is this really going to hurt:(
We will be going next November as her brother is getting married, we are a child less couple so do not want to stay at a hotel that is over run with children hence we are not staying at the same hotel as her brother.
I have noticed that the majority of rooms in our price range at the Rosewood over look the lagoon, so is there a
chance of mosquito problem as we do not want the holiday spoilt by bites as they really go for me

Are there mosquitoes or any other insects? Do I need to take insect repellent?

I am planning a trip to SC in July by myself and want to take a couple of guided tours of things like the waterfalls and the Mayan ruins - are there local tour companies there who run these all year round?

Hi, just beginning to plan my next trip. I've decided I want to return to Mexico and I've always wanted to do this train journey. We will have 5 or 6 weeks in Mexico. However, it will need to be Jan, Feb, though the exact dates are flexible. I'm just concerned about the weather at that time. I understand it might be a bit cold. Has anyone done this trip at that time of year? I'm still working on my itinerary but I definitely want to do the train, spend some time in La Paz,, Espiritu Santo, Mazatlan, Zacatecas, and possibly Guanajuato and Morelia. I'm not sure which way round to do it and whether to make a return trip on the train, stopping off on the way. I'd welcome any suggestions of what not to miss. I like walking, photographing birds etc and snorkelling, plus a bit of culture too. I speak pretty good Spanish and have travelled in Central and South America in the past.
All advice appreciated and thanks in advance.

My friend wants her kids to see their dad, who is in Tijuana, but she can't go. She asked me if I could take them. They have their passports and so do I. What is needed to be able to do this without getting into any problems????

Hi all, I hired yoga retreat in mexico for the week 20 to July 27 and would like to find someone who is going too to this retreat or want to sign up for this yoga trip with me, I've alredy booked it  and I travel by my own, the date is arriving and I would rather have a benchmark for my first trip alone. I'm new at this yoga retreats and also in going to Mexico. I do yoga regularly and I really wanted this experience, but in my circle, no one has vacation that week, so I decided to do the yoga trip alone, because I found very special the idea of doing yoga among Mayan ruins. I have 24 years old, I'm working as a physiotherapist and I'm very quiet and easy  anywhere, so if anyone is encouraged to travel or are already signed up for this yoga retreat in mexico, we can put contact to plan. Also if anyone can give me advice about the destination, the company or what you may believe that can be useful, is welcome. hello i am 16. we are coming to mazatlan soon for 5 days. what are some things that i shouldnt miss on this fun trip?
ive never been to mazatlan myself and id really apreciate some tips.

I am planning to have an 30 years anniversary vacation with my wife in Cancun this September/2013. I've been reading all the review from all experienced travelers and most of them are involved with timeshare sale scam. Not only get into the scam and ruin the whole vacation for most of them which I feel very sad when reading it. After refused or withdraw from the scam deals, they were treated like a second citizens or bottom line tourist. We never get out of US since we married and love the beaches a lot. I've heard it's beautiful beaches and resorts in Cancun and wanted to have a great vacation with my love. But it's seem like unsafe with all the situation that I've seen from all the review. It's happened in most of the resorts there. Any advises is appreciated. I am thinking to travel with US might be safer? Thank you for any input.
