Is it an obligation to get there through Khartoum? Is it possible to organise its trip in Sudan when we are in Khartoum city ? Thanks in advance for reply Ousermatree
Hi! If you are coming from the north to "Meroe - Royal City" then you can show up at the gate and get your entry ticket there. From Khartoum you can take any bus going north towards Atbara and asked to be dropped of at the turn off to the pyramids. Its a lovely place! frockland

Hallo, I have been in Sudan in November 03 for three weeks. I travelled North to the pyramids, to the 6. Nile cataract and to Port Sudan/ Suakin. It is possible to organize trips in Khartoum,though it takes much time to get all the permissions for the different places. If you need help you could call on 00249 12301928 Ahmed, he has a travel agency and he could give you advices or help you to get the permissions.
