My wife and I will be visiting Mérida and Progreso for the first two weeks of March. We are planning a VT meeting for Mérida on March 5th, and would be glad to visit with VT members then. You can find out more details in the meetings page for March 5. We are looking forward to visiting ruins, walking the beaches, and walking/shoping/enjoying the nightlife in Mérida (but not all at the meeting) ;o) I cannot wait. See you there!
Just decided last night to travel to the Merida area of Mexico with friends, from March 10th to 17th. I have made several enquiries into accommodations in Progreso and Chicxulub and am awaiting answers. Too bad we'll miss the meeting on the 5th. Afia

I thought I replied to this already, but it seems to be missing. The March 5 date was in 2005. There is a new Mérida meeting scheduled this year on February 22, 2006 (the start of Carnival). Contact myself or Gatopardo for details.

considering you are not doing tourist stuff, i think your best bet is to bus it to Merida and rent a car there. that way... more
