Hi. My wife and I are planning a trip to Memphis and Nashville for about 8/9 days next March. Can anyone recommend good, reasonably priced, safe and clean hotels in the cities. Somewhere that is quite central to tourist attractions etc. Many thanks, Chipper.
Darren, you're going to want to stay in the downtown area. A quick check of Hotels.com and Hotwire.com showed that rates there will start around 100 euros per night. As for reviews, check out what travellers have posted about some of the downtown hotels at TripAdvisor.com. My wife and I stayed at the Peabody Hotel last June but it was pricey...around225 per night. Whatever you do, don't stay in a hotel near Graceland. The area has seen better days.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer as to where TO stay. But I can tell you NOT to stay in the downtown or Graceland... more
