Travel between Melk, Durnstein, and Vienna

by bsholl Online Now Jan 28, 2007 at 10:58 AM

I am putting together an itinerary for travel in Austria for May 2007. I need help in arranging boat travel between Melk, Durnstein and Vienna on May 19th, 20th and 21st. The group arives in Melk around noon on the 19th. We are hoping that's enough time to tour the Abbey and then catch a boat/ferry to Durnstein on the 20th...returning to Vienna on the 21st. Is there a web site for water transport between these destinations? (I did find a cruise for Sunday the 21st to Vienna, but no timetables.) Is there a timetable out there somewhere, and an ability to book with someone for these three destinations in advance? Thanks.

take a look at my pages about
    Melk, Duernstein, Vienna
there you get also several links.
the Danube from Krems to Vienna is quite boring that is why they have a cruise there only once a week in summer !
