Hi, I just learnt that the bus station (Singapore Malacca express) has shifted to a new location. Anyone knows about that? Anyone know of any website I able to see the maps (streets better) for Malacca. I tried to search but seems like the map not available. Help appreciated. Thanks.
Hi! Yes, the bus terminal has shifted to Melaka Sentral in Peringgit - abt 3km frm the old bus station. Sorry I'm not sure abt the map but if you need to go to the site of the old bus station, you can do so by taking the town bus bus frm Melaka Sentral. Hope this help. -m-

It is over the road from a very big Tesco supermarket and shopping mall. I don't know if that is the only Tesco. The new building is very big and well organised and all the Singapore buses are at the one location, unfortunately at the other end of the building from where our taxi dropped us!

Sue (hi Sue!) is right that Melaka Sentral is just opposite the only Tesco in Melaka. As it is the largest bus terminal in Malaysia, its not suprising then that the sections for taxis, inter city and inner state buses are located way apart frm each other. Hi, well just adding to the info the others gave. Its very easy to get a bus there from the old station, costs about a rinngit or something...the new station is much nicer than the old one, and has various places to get refreshments as well. S

Just to add on, I think you can also get a night coach from Malacca to Penang, leaving Malacca at midnight, & reaching... more
