Hello, Just womdering if anyone can let me know if they know of or have seen/heard of any internet cafes or anywhere that will let me use my laptop there. wifi ?? Is it about 50rs per hour ??? do i need to get some special cord/wire or somehting ??? I need to bring my laptop for work, otherwise i would have left it back in the states.... please help, I would appreciatte any answers.... thanks -
The laptops can be allowed at some of the Cafe's. I am not sure whether they would be giving you wifi connectivity but they can always give a wired based LAN connectivity. Further for wifi check at the place you are staying, they might guide you properly for the options

! interesting question. i dont recall seeing one but surely with the number of backpackers packed in Mcleod & Dharamkot, the place has arrangements. in any case, Dharamsala 10 kms down the hill will have cafes. guess in the absence of wifi you will have to make do with CDs/pen drives/detachable hard disks. & yes, the surfing speed will be nothing like in the States remember. the connection also at the mercy of the weather. :-).
