At the Royal Villas Resort in Mazatlan, is there an automated bank machine or will I have to leave the resort to find a bank or automated bank machine?
Hello I will be in Mazatlan for 1 month with my wife and I am hoping to play at the Golf Campestre, I am staying in the Golden Zone; anyone planning to go between Feb 10 to March 10 as my wife does not play? Thank you
I am looking for something along the lines of a Bed and Breakfast place in Mazatlan. Any suggestions? What I would really like is room and board in a Mexican home for one month.
My husband and I are planning our first trip to Mexico in November, specifically to Mazatlan(El Cid El Moro Hotel). I went to the US travel site and there were warnings posted on traveling to that area. I am wondering if it is still OK to travel to Mazatlan and I would like recent reviews if anyones traveled there recently. Thanks!
During the day, which are the best choices... silk, cotton or there's one other, maybe acetate? material but it's light also? I know cotton can feel hot, but thinking maybe silk would be not warm enough? I don't wear much polyester.
I would like to know if there is any secure short term ( 3-6) day parking available near the Mazatlan (for La Paz) ferry terminal ? thanks grappa135

Every year we take a King David bus to the Golden Zone when we arrive at the airport from Chicago for Christmas and New Years. I do not enjoy the half hour wait, then hour plus ride stopping at all the other resorts...for the 5th time! If I want to see other resorts, I will let someone pay me250 with a free breakfast! About how much are the taxis? We have 4 adults, less than average luggage amounts (laundry service is soooo cheap) and a wheelchair, so not sure if a single taxi would work. Any ideas?
Does anyone know if Twin Towers, the hostel-like place on the isla, is still there, I have read confilitcing information online. Or, would someone recomend anyplace else to stay? Anyone know about the availability of storage lockers at any of the places with camping or hamocks? Thanks for the help.
Can I get A Pulmonia to take my husband and I from the airport to our hotel "la Siesta" I read that they are not allowed on the airport grounds. also do you know the approx.fee if they are available....thank you for any information you may share.
My sister arrives in Mazatlan at 7:40pm on Monday night, and was trying to make a reservation with a shuttle service to pick her up and take her to her hotel. Unfortunately, most shuttle services will not pick people up from the airport after 6:00pm! Does anyone know if there is some sort of shuttle service available from the airport after 6:00pm? If so, what is it called, and could she take it without having a prior reservation? Also, the cost, por favor! Or are taxis the only way that time of night? If so, what she should expect to pay to get to the malecon area? Thanks for your help.
We want to ride in a Pulmonia but do not know how much to offer. We dont want to be cheap about it but neither do we want to get ripped off. How much should a ride from the port to downtown be?
We are taking our family on a vacation to Mazatlan in Febuary 2009. My mother in law informed me that there is a lot of bad things going on in Mazatlan. We are American and I heard that Americans are being kidnapped? Should I be concerned for our safety?
I was recently in Mazatlan on vacation and had a massage at the Land of the Deer massage. I'm trying to obtain contact information, either phone number or address. Thank you
Hi, my name is Dana and I'm hoping that someone can help me. Last month (Oct. '08) my boyfriend and I visited Mazatlan briefly when our ship docked in port. We went to the Golden Zone and visited a nice jewelry store, which I believe was called Azteca. It stood out because it had a very interesting, ornate-looking storefront. Inside, I tried on some beautiful tanzanite rings, but didn't buy one. Since that time, my boyfriend and I have talked about getting engaged, and I can't find any tanzanite rings on the internet that are as beautiful as the ones I saw in that store. I've tried finding the store on the internet, but to no avail. Is anyone familiar with this jewelry/art store? If so, could you please email me the website or phone number? Many thanks! Dana
I am bringing my dog to Mazatlan for christmas does anybody have any tips for me.
I am getting married in Mazatlan next February and wanted to know if any one could refer me to a local wedding planner?
five in my group are arriving wed the 25th. Headed for emerald bay and looking for a taxi to hold us and our luggage. I figured it must be cheaper to get a taxi ride unless they charge per person. Thanks for any suggestions.
I will be staying at the Sea Garden over New Year. I have been trying to find a map with its location on, with great difficulty. I understand it's "10 minutes north" of the gold zone. Does anyone have any idea where it is and where there is a map on the web Also, what is the weather like at New Year, and what can we expect there then.
We are planning to be in Mazatlan at Christmas. Does anyone have suggestions about what a family can do on Christmas Eve? Are most restaurants open? What about Catholic church services? Are there any children's events? When we were in Mexico City at Christmas, there were many carnival-like booths in the park and many people out with their families and having their pictures taken during the early evening on Christmas Eve. Does Mazatlan have anything like this? Also, are there posadas or Christmas plays during the week before Christmas? We will have our children and grandchildren with us and would appreciate any information or suggestions. Thanks so much!
We hope to travel very light, one carry on bag each, for a week in Mazatlan. Does anyone know if Los Sabalos Hotel has a coin laundry or of one near by?
Can you please tell me what are the high-season and low-season times. Also, I am looking to relocate to Mazatlan sometime next year. I would like any advise as to good times to come to Maztlan to investigate. Thanks! Diane

We would like to have a look at Bahia Kino on our way north from Guaymas. Should we drive from Guaymas to Hermosillo on Highway 15, and then west on Highway 16 to Kino? I realize that this is the long route. Or has anyone driven on on Highway 15 to Highway 24, northwest on 24, up to 16, and then west on to Kino? What is the condition of Highways 24 and 16? Thanks for any information you can give us. Dennis and Doreen

We are interested in renting a car in mid-June in order to get ourselves and some personal items to the Guadalajara/Lake Chapala area for a few months. Ultimately, we would really like to just rent the car one-way and drop it off at Guadalajara airport, but it seems that there is usually a very expensive drop-off fee. Has anyone had any experiences with rental companies here in Mazatlan, any recommendations on the best company to use, or best way to go about renting here in Mexico, also the drop-off issue? Thanks, Anne
We are leaving for Mazatlan in a couple of days. What should we expect to pay to take a taxi or "Pulmonia" from the Airport to Playa Mazatlan (I believe somewhere in the Zona Dorada.......?
I would like to know if anyone has done a trip from Mazatlan to the Copper Canyon on their own, without a tour group. If so, please could you give me any info on transportation between Mazatlan and either Los Mochis or El Fuerte, hotels in El Fuerte, hotels near to Divisadero and in Creel. Also, is early October a good time for touring the area...we won't be taking any trips down into the bottom of the canyon. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Anne
