Whats the deal with the samurai frogs????????

When I visited Matsumoto to see the amazing Crow Castle I also got a look at a very weird statue indeed. Two samurai frogs fighting a huge toad! Anyone knows anything about it, please enlighten me!!!!!!!!!!! :O)

    Hi. In Matsumoto city "Frog Festival" is held in June.

    Is there some history behind the festival or that statue? Havent been able to find hardly any info about it... Cheers.
