We would like to drive from Sorrento to Matera in mid April and spend 2 nights there. How are the roads driving there and in Matera?
I am becoming somewhat anxious hearing about the driving in Italy.
Thanks for your help.
Is it realistic to drive from Sorrento to Matera? How long would it take to drive.? There are 3 of us so we thought it might be more economical and time efficient to drive and see the sites along the way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Will be there end of May. Thanks
What is the best method of travel from Matera Italy to Naples Italy, and what if I want to travel on a Sunday.
Are you familiar with Matera? We may be in the city for 2 nights to do some photo-shooting, and I'd like to know what hotels you can recommend that have cave bedrooms and spectacular views of the town (I'm cheating on a couple of the photos, to shoot them from my bedroom window!). I don't mind if it's pricey, but it has to be worth the cost. I'm leaning toward the Hotel Sassi, and recent reviews of the place are favorable.
I am going to Sorrento and then want to go onto Matera - are there regular buses to matera or trains to near Matera?? Most of the inforamtion is from Puglia side
Does anyone know if all the trains you book for night travel automatically include sleeping quarters? Is there anyone who can give me some good advice on traveling by train. It appears there is more than one company, and prices vary.
Now I give up.
All those different compagnies running the trains and busses give me headache.
Isn´t there one page where it is possible to find out about all traffic in Italy?
Well, I want to find out if busline between Alberobello and Matera? What compagny run it, and how often?
Hello, Probably I'll visit Italy (Matera and Grotole) for this year's Christmas. I'll spend there about one week. My questions are in the field 'How to reach... .': I can fly to Milan or Rome. Can you help me - where it is easier to reach Matera? Is it better by train, or, probably busses are more convenient? After that I have to leave for Grotole. How is the public transport? Do you think I'll manage knowing almost any Italian? Thanks for your help, and greetings from Bulgaria. You are welcome if you are coming here. Have a nice day, Lillyia
