Muslim "weekend" in Massawa

Hi! I am trying to organize a day tour from Asmara, but I have only Thursday or Friday. The choice is between Keren or Massawa. Which would you advise, considering that friday is muslim weekend? Do all activities stop? How would you organise it to get the best out of it? Thank you for the help, Mirko
