Hi everyone. I intend to do a trip from Christchurch to Queenstown for bout 8 days in the first week of June. I've never travelled on my own (solo-virgin!) and I'm hoping to meet up with people who have done so or intend to travel during the same time as me for a drink or even a day trip. At this stage I have no idea if I'm planning to rent a campervan and drive down (winter roads??) or grab a bus tix and book into a backpackers where ever I end up for the day. Would love to hear some ideas/suggestions.. cheers!
My wife and I will be driving to Te Anau from Queenstown in mid July 2013. Is it best to book a Milford Sound tour ahead of time, or is it better to not book a tour and wait until we are in Te Anau or Queenstown with a better idea of what the weather might be? We have planned one night in Te Anau, and then thought we'd head toward Dunedin. Any suggestions?

HI, We are a family of 5(2adults/3 children aged 10,13,14) planning to tbe in Queen Charlotte Sound in early Dec. Looking to stay in one of the lodges in the sound for 3 nights and explore the Queen Charlotte track around the accomodation. Considering Endeavour Resort and Fishing Lodge. NOt much info on the net except their Website. Wonder if anyone has experience at the Resort or if they have other family self contained units (moderate price range NZ$200-300)to recommend for the family. Thanks. Low (Singapore)
Hi there, has anyone had any experience with http://www.marlboroughsounds.co.nz/ kayaking tours? They look reasonable but personal experience is the proof in the pudding. Any other companies you can recomend for kayaking/camping would be apreciated. Thanks

Hello i have the choice of flying to either of these two towns, to pick up my campervan - but i am heading to Kaikoura for 3.00 in the afternoon - is there anything interesting to see on the road between P and B or shall i fly straight to Blenheim from Wellington and pick up my campervan there? I see there is a small road that goes along the coast - is it worth taking it instead of taking the highway? thank you
