Many years ago (late 50's early 60's) my family would vacation at the Jack Tar motel in Marathon. Many years later I visited and the motel was renamed the Salty Dog and it was a "fish camp". Does anyone know if the Salty Dog still exists. Thank you wffox1949
It is now the Ocean Isles Fishing Village, a condo complex

that last reply was right- it is now Ocean Isles and looks much the same. Each condo is individually owned- but many rent by the day, week etc. I own one myself.
