where to stay near beach in mangalore?

Can anyone recommend a good homestay or hotel near beach in Mangalore? we will be there around 25th dec. thanks

    Mangalore's only beach resort is at Summer sands. Their tairff is a bit high, but definetly worth it. but i hear they have a few economy rooms too. i think the website address is www.summersands.in
