I've been wondering this for thirty years now: How do you pronounce "Amoskeag"?
Thanks

    AM-uh-skaig.
Accent the syllables like 'platypus' or 'pantomime'.

    Thanks.
I have always read it as uh-MOSky-ag.
    Glad that's cleared up.

"Amoskeag" is what the Native Americans called Manchester. Wouldn't it be interesting if they returned to the original name? Amoskeag, New Hampshire. Neat, huh? I'm a dork, I know.
