I was wondering what is the best way to travel from Manchester to Leeds Bradford airport? Is there a connecting train? Is a taxi very expensive for that route?

Can I get public transport from Manchester Piccadilly station to Olympic Court, Trafford Park Village?

I'm planning a business trip and will be spending: * 2 days in Manchester * 2 days in Liverpool * 2 days in London. At the end of January. My question is what form of transportation is best this time of year: 1. Fly into London OR Manchester and drive or take the train to other locations 2. Fly to London AND to Manchester and drive or take train to Liverpool from Manchester? Thanks for any help you can provide!

I have got a 10h layover at Manchester in Nov. Any suggestions on sight seeing except, perhaps, the Christmas markets?

Has anyone done this tour? I've searched VT, but no luck. Looks like it could be interesting, or just a bunch of tunnels that all look the same. Entertaining the possibility of popping out of the Manchester Christmas meet for two hours to maybe do this, but it could be total cr@p for all I know. newmanchesterwalks.com/walks... Does anyone know the nearest Premier Inn to the Etihad Stadium?

I have a 6:25 am flight out of Manchester Airport and would like to park my campervan in a Jetparks carpark the evening before and sleep over until check-in time. Does anyone know if this is allowed or would it be against carpark policy ? It hardly seems worth staying in a hotel when we need to be at the airport so early.

I will be in Manchester the 31st May-June 4th. I am staying in Manchester Vic and routinely joining friends at their hotel in Piccadilly. How do I travel between do to. How much for taxi? What about the train? Can someone help me with prices? Is their like a day pass for the train?

Hi everyone!I'll travel to Manchester with a friend to see The Stone Roses gig on 30th June. We're struggling to find a good hotel or b&b for two nights (from 29th June to 1st July),since everywhere's sold out or REALLY expensive (no hotel is less than 90£ each per night!) probably because it's a weekend plus there's an unmissable gig! Do you happen to know any good B&Bs around the city centre? Thank you SOOO much! Chiara.

Hi folks Ive posted previously in this forum that I will be visiting Manchester and staying in Salford Quays in December. I would like to visit Salford lads club, i dont expect to be allowed inside, i would just like to see it as its an iconic image from my youth. What i would like to know is it is in a safe area to walk to from Salford Quays as i see from google maps it is only 15/20 mins walk away. I have read that tourists have been robbed in this area frequently. I would be doing this in the morning with my wife and young son and am used to travelling around big cities not dressed like a tourist. Regards Gary

we are going to the christmas market in manchester for the first time and i am a wheelchair user is it wheelchair friendly. also we are staying 8 miles outside manchester is it best to catch the train in to town or is it easier to park your car any information would be great thanks. ps is there any 1 thing we should not miss on this trip thanks

Hi, I'm arriving at Manchester City at around 3pm and was wondering where can I grab a late lunch. I am visiting the Christmas Market and attending a show at M.E.N., so something around any of those areas would be ideal. Also, I have been trying to find a single room in the City for up to €50 but it seems opinions about most of the hotels within this price range diverge a lot. I don't need anything fancy, just a clean central place where I can sleep for a few hours before my early flight. Any recomendations? Thank you so much in advance.

Hi. I am a little confused about the ticket prices. How much is a day pass? Can we use all the exisiting transportation (buses, trams and train)? I saw on the internet that there are in the citu centre frre buses and trams, is that true? I am visiting manchester on sunday/monday and would like to know if anyone has any ideas about what to do in the evening with a 10 year old? we are shopping during the day and i'm sure there will be lots of choice of places to eat, but was looking at ideas for the evening. I have thought about the cinema, but you can go to the cinema anywhere. If there is something good on at the IMAX i could consider that, but would like a choice.
