Does anyone have any ideas for day trips (not a lot of walking )from Manali in Mid-September? What is there to do there?
I think you can visit Naggar and this is one place which is very much under rated but should not be missed. You can see Naggar Castle which has the best views from that area. While you are in Naggar you should also visit Roerich Art museum which is really interesting. I have written a blog post about our Naggar experience.
