Hi everyone, Was wondering if anyone can help. How do I travel from Ujung Pandang/Makassar to Manado? Is flight my only option? I read somewhere that I can take boats too - where do I find more details? Thanks!
hi, you can take flight from makasar ( Ujungpandang ) to Manado : by garuda indonesia (GA ) by Lion Air ( JT ) by batavia air ( 7P ) here the time schedule from Ga & JT MTWTFSS UJUNG PANDAN/MANADO 1234567 UPG MDC 1140 1320 GA 602 1234567 UPG MDC 1215 1350 JT 778 1234567 UPG MDC 2140 2315 JT 740 to take a boat ? mmmmm I not sure that posible, maybe take a long time , becouse it is to far I think one in the south sulawesi and one in north part. take care, nonon@centrin.net.id

There are several Pelni ships serving that route. Check www.pelni.co.id for details, looking for nearby Bitung instead of Manado as destination. You could even go by bus, but it would take 2-3 full days! The bus is worth considering if you want to make stopovers in places like Tanatoraja.
