Is there a shop in manado that sells a good selection of red wine by the bottle? I know already that it will be expensive 

    Manado is predominantly a Muslim area and while you can buy beer from some supermarkets, you are unlikely to find a 'bottle shop' with a range of liquor.
    You are better off trying at an up-market hotel

    Gran Puri Manado hotel has a wine cellar, but a bottle of wine will cost 4 times as much as it will cost in Australia. Some spirits are cheaper than wine.
