Considering it's on a weekend it should be pretty good! I've only passed through once and went to the 'Sky Club', it was fun!

Depends where you are, to some extent..Malta is a country. If you are in the northern coastal resorts you should have plenty of choice but if you are based in the smaller or more distant settlements (e.g. Marsaxlokk, Mellieha) there will be much less on offer.
Malta is pretty much a year-round destination and doesn't really 'shut' out of season in the way some places do. But its main visitor areas are those northern resorts..Sliema, St Julians, Paceville etc....and Bugibba.

I am actually writing this in a bar in St. Julian's and this is the "worst" month tourist wise but there is still enough to do. It depends very much what you are into. The Paceville area of St. Julians is very much "party central" and will obviously only get busier as the main season approaches. The main bar street was bouncing this afternoon at about five o'clock. I haven't even bothered going htere late at night as I am a bit old for all that stuff but I think you will have no problems.
Hope this assists,
fergy.
