Safety standards on the islands

Hi there can anyone advise what safety standards exist for bathroom fittings in the maldives etc safety glass? Do they conform to British Safety Standards or do they have there own safety standards? Any help would be much appreciated

I'm pretty sure they don't conform to British Safety Standards, given that they are their own nation. However, in three visits, each to a different resort, I have not experienced any difficulties with their standards; resorts are clean - immaculately so - and well maintained.
