Does anyone can update me the current situation there in Maldives? Chaos/danger/back to normal? Or any recommendation? Thank you.
You should check out the travel recommendations of your country's office of foreign affairs. Just out of interest I checked out Germany's and Switzerland's recommendations. While Germany has not listed any warnings at all, Switzerland reports occastional protests in Male. Considering how tourism on the Maldives works you just have to avoid Male if you want to be on the safe side. Most tourists go there for shopping only anyway and spend their time on "their" island. As the airport is on a separate island there is no need to go to Male anyway.

I would certainly advise against going to the Maldives. See the following for what can happen: telegraph.co.uk/travel/87231... It is an Islamic Reublic. The open practice of all other religions is forbidden and such actions are liable to prosecution under the law of the country. Be aware too that the meat you are served will have been Religiously slaughtered.
