My friends stayed there. They were very satisfied with their rooms, good food and service. The beach is really beautiful and you can go scuba-diving, there are also a lot of other water activities around. It is a very small atoll so you have to take the sea plane (app 30 min) and a boat to get there. Enjoy your stay!

Havent been yet- but have booked to go next july-apparently a very pleasant island, I have a book"resorts of the maldives" by Adrian Neville which is virtually a bible to me as i have found it very accurate with the descriptions and has great photos, in that book it says Filitheyo was a first rate island with excellent house reef- if that book says it is good then it is good! p.s you can get the book from expedia ( i know as i have just bought a copy for a friend of mine who is planning a trip to the maldives) Have agreat holiday.

hi - we are booked to go to filitheyo as well. does anyone know whether snorkeling is good there? is the house reef within swimming distance? Read someone's travelogue for the period of january and this person said that visibility was poor. Is this right? We are going next month - in two weeks! bee

The house reef is very close (easy swimming distance ) of one side of the island (superior bungalow side) , cut-through channels have been made to make it easy to get to the drop off on both sides. visibility depends on the number of plankton in the water as well as the weather, so its in the lap of the gods- but dont forget even when its poor visibility thats still pretty good compared to a lot of other places. have a great holiday.

Thanks. Have bitten the bullet and booked with fullmoon. my agent was putting pressure on me to make a decision and was really pushing full moon - sigh - I hope that is going to work out well. we prefer the feel of filitheyo a lot more as full moon looks a tad chintzy. next time ...

Hi! We're thinking about booking at Deluxe villa at Filitheyo, Maldives this year. Could you answer a couple of questions for us please? Is it difficult to get out to the house reef if you're snorkling? It looks pretty shallow and rocky on the pictures. Also, did you have a room with twin beds? If so were they single bed size or double bed size? Would be grateful for any advice! Becks

We went to filitheyo last April and it is one of the top managed resorts. We have been traveling to the Maldives now for 8 years and have been to many resorts. This one has been the best value for the money. Just make sure you check to make sure you request a cottage with a beach front as some are in the back 50 and have no beach. The food is excellent considering it is the maldives. Lots of variety and selection. Well done. We were there for three weeks and just started to get a little bored with the food. We had half board and found that was quite enough for us. You can always get a sandwich at the bar or a snack if you happen to be hungry. Well if you have anymore questions we can answer for you please email at puropilot@hotmail.com and please put Filitheyo in the subject line so I do not deleat your message.
