I have done this journey by train and it was fine. Just be aware there are different types of trains in Poland. The cheapest local ones stop everywhere and take forever but are very cheap. Express trains are fast but the most expensive. If you are in a hurry they are your best bet. There is also a middle priced train service which is resonably fast but not as fast as the express train.

We did by train and it is a bit more than one hour in a good train From Malbork to the station you may walk , 20 to 25 minutes or take a taxi In the parking of a restaurant that is in front the castle gate you may leave your luggageif any .

as for the luggage left service, yes, i've contacted the railway station. And it doesnt provide luggage left service at this time. so i have to carry my luggage all the way to the castle and leave it at the museum office. by the way, is the Malbork Castle interior worth visiting?

For us it was really very interesting , we consider a "must" If you have problems with your luggage in the ticket office you may leave in the restaurant that is in front. If you have big luggage you must consider to go in taxi .( negotiate the price before )
