I have a follow up to an earlier question issue, re.motorbike licensing in Malaysia. Does anyone know what Malaysia rules are concerning small electric bikes? Here on the west coast of Canada and in Washington State (USA), there is no extra licensing needed for small (49 cc or less) electric bikes. You can use your regular (auto) driver's license: Malaysia? Thanks
I would be in Kuala Lumpur on 2nd of June from 10pm to 6am. Any place/shop/mall open around that time to do some shopping for electronics?

I (Canadian) will be in Malaysia this summer. Driving a car there last time was a challenge (left side driving didn't work for me). What are the steps to getting a motorcycle license there? (I think I can handle left side driving with motorcycle..and I will be in a small town. I just have the regular auto license here in Canada, but could get a motorcycle license here, if it made obtaining a motorcycle license in Malaysia easier. Anyway, looking for advice, ideas. Thanks

Could anyone suggest an itinerary for Borneo which would include a visit to the orangutangs, tree top canopy walk, visit to KK National Park and POSSIBLY to climb it (not certain about that yet in our limited time frame). Also we have the possibility of going to Borneo straight from Bangkok or from somewhere in Indonesia. Could you recommend which would be the better & cheaper option? Thank you!
Hi all,
I'm doing a trekking this summer on Borneo: starting from Bakalalan, crossing the border to Kalimantan and ending in Sabah (Long Pasia).
It will start in the last week of july and end in the first week of august.
It will be great expedition: lots of rainforest, wildlife (hopefully) and of course a guide etc. It won't be an easy trekking, but what's wrong with a challenge?
If someone is interested, let me know!
Thanks a lot,
Max (NL)

I am posting this question here to enable a wider reach. The Australian immigration website states an ETA costs A$20 but an agent, easyeta.com, is charging RM30. Has anyone used it before? Are there any hidden charges? Thanks.

Dear all,
My name is Kaylie and I am a 20 year old student from the Netherlands who will be visiting Kuala Lumpur for 6 months for my internships. During this time will I be working full time in down town KL, which means that I do not have to possibility to do activities which take more than 1 day. I was wondering if some locals would be able to help me with some great ideas for small day trips. ;) I would love to visit an orphanage and donate some daily necessities to them (toiletries, childrens clothes, towels). Does anyone have experience or would like to help me find an ophranage which allows this?
Kind regards from cold & always rainy Holland :)
Kaylie

Hello,
In October I will study for 1 semester in KL. Therefore I'd like to live in a luxury apartment (around City Centre). I already found some hotels: Regalia and the Pertama Residency. Both are costing around 1500-200 RM per month in this is also the maximum of my budget.
But can anyone help me me in finding more alternatives? What are the possibilites besides the Regalia and P.R?

we are looking for safe accommodation near/at the beach, where our kids can spend most of the time playing on clean sand, and hopefully snorkel/ swim near /feed fishes, without having to book a boat to another area. We'll probably book a boat for only once in our trip of 5 days. any recommendation. With restaurants nearby. accommodation budget around RM100-130 per day. thanks for any suggestions!
Where in Kulalumpur I can find wwe power slammers toy for my son. I will be in KL shortly, shall be helpful if anyone knows the toy shops around. Thanks.

It's been longtime now, Hope you'll good...
I am planning to go East visiting Malaysia nextyear and also thinking of crossing to Singapore for Sightseeing there as well and then back in Malaysia within 6 days. but the problem or my fear is that I have read unfortunate stories of travellers being denied or faced the risk of being denied re-entry into Countries like Singapore and others because of the so called "U turn policy" which i find it hard to Understand.
So my question: Will i be able to re-enter Malaysia from Singapore in a Space of 5 or 6 days without facing any problems at the border post? Advice please... If it means i have to giveup going to Singapore I won't really mind, all i want is to have a hassle free trip.
