Will be in Malaysia and Thailand for three weeks end July early August and looking for week or so beach resort - swimming, snorkeling, fishing. Have heard Penang wetter and more humid then so favouring Perhentian Besar, any thoughts please

For swimming and snorkeling, perhentian would be a better option. But, I don't think u can do fishing there, because it is a marine park. It is common to see people fish in Penang Island. Penang Island is more like a city than a natural marine Park. So, there are both different.
