We thought about Howth which we like alot but never been to Malahide and it is much closer. Read a great VT tip about a B&B, are there any good pubs for our last night in Ireland which we may be meeting up with an infamous Vter from England.
Malahide would be an ideal location to stay on your last night. Gibneys is probably the most well-known pub in the village but there are others. There are lots of cafes and restaurants too so you'll have plenty of choice if you're planning to meet a VTer.

There are some nice apartments besides the marina. When we were in Malahide I thought some might be sfor rent. Suggest you contact the Information centre.Maybe this info is late, interested to know where you finished up. Mike

finished up in Malahide for 2 nights and no regrets...only one place to stay at that time of year but we negotiated the price to pretty much half price. 3 pubs in town ,two which I prefer and met up with Johngayton and met lots of nice people from around there. Very easy drive to the airport, would stay there again no question.
