Yeah, Mid of April is nice time to visit in Malaga, Spain. Weather is normal at that time. But because of Malaga placed on the bank of Alboran Sea, so it is difficult to estimate the actual temperature of that time.

I was in Southern Spain last year beginning the second week of April. The weather averaged between 15 and 17 C. during the day and a little cooler at night. There was just two days where it got as high as 20 and when it did there were folks at the beach ranging from Tarifa to Valencia. It rained only three days on our three week plus trip to Spain and Algrave in Portugal. The web site for Malaga indicates only 40 mm of rain on the average for April. I think you made a wise decision and will be happy with the weather in Malaga and Southern Spain.

I always visit the country in july. It's not a very pleasant time to be on Costa del Sol. It's too hot. The tourist season usually starts at Easter. Then there is a lot of tourists during the whole summer and autumn. I would say that April is a very good time to visit Spain. It's not too hot, but it's not cold either. I hope you'll enjoy your stay there and remember to eat a lot of churros to breakfast. It's not a holiday in Spain without churros with chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice!

Usually nice weather (like north European summer), but the sea is still too cold to swim. Warm in the sun, but nights can be cold
