Transportation options from/to NAIA and New World Hotel in Makati

by reygcarolina Online Now May 22, 2011 at 8:40 PM

What are my transportation options from/to NAIA and New World Hotel? I am looking for a Van type shuttle/vehicle; air-conditioned; non-smoking; clean; no rip-off prices; and can safely bring us to the hotel. We are arriving at night (around 10:30PM) in Manila. I'll appreciate any help and inputs. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, RGC

Since your require a van, you may ask New World Hotel if they can provide pick up shuttle for you. I'm not sure if the coupon service at the airport has a van on stand by though I see some "fx" vehicles (can accommodate 7-8 passengers, similar to wagon). More expensive than metered or coupon taxi, but safer and you don't have to haggle. Alternatively, there may be some VT members who can refer van rentals (prevailing rate is P2500-P2700, all in).

There will be official yellow airport taxis- they have a 75peso flag fall which is double the rate of the regualr taxis but they also are hassle free. They will be there and they are clean and easy to use. To Makati at that time will be about 150 pesos, tip of 50 to 200- easy. Insist on the meter, if he does not , open the door. Rare to have any such hassles with the yellow airport cabs. If you need a van- as above posters have said, use the hotel.
