Hello I'll travel to Vietnam in a few weeks by myself. I am planning to go to Mai Chau and Lac Village for 2 days, or maybe 3 days and 2 nights, from hanoi. I'm not exactly sure how to get there. I have to catch 2 different buses right? Once there, What do u think is the best to do? Stay one night in Mai Chau, one night in a local accomodation in Village Lac? Can we do trekking too there? Thanks a lot.
Probably the best bet is to join a small tour, it's pretty cheap and direct. I think Lac Village is right next to Mai Chau town (the town itself is not that interesting and the village is really a few mins away). I did a great two day trek with Buffalo tours thru the smaller outlining villages, great fun
