I have booked to stay at the Belle Mare Plage for two weeks from the 02/09/2013. I do not like cold windy weather should I transfer to a hotel on the west coast baring in mind my husband wants to play golf

I'll be on my honeymoon trip to Mauritius for 9 days. I've booked Tarisa Resort hotel (in Trou aux Biches) on half board basis. I need an estimate for 9 days lunch for 2 people in a decent hotel. The honeymoon package also includes 3-day tours. Apart from those, we will be taking 1 or 2 optional paid tours (visit to an island and watersport maybe). How much money in Mauritian Rupees should I carry? Please advise.

what is so great about the mountain ? why called lion moutain?is it possible to go there ? if yes then what are the transport provisions? is it safe for a foreigner ? do locals guide you there? is there food available?
Hi can anyone tell me about the outbreak of chikungunya in mahebourg and in other towns of mauritius? newspapers seem to be playing things down and I intend to travel there in the next few weeks.... thanks!
