Looking for a modern not too trendy hotel in center of the city, close to sightseing but not a total tourist trap, preferably with a rooftop and a nice bar and at least 4 stars. Please recommend! Thank you

The Emperador on Gran Via has a rooftop and pool...and a big classic dark bar on the ground floor. Sometimes they have pretty good deals by booking direct on the website. Last July I was able to get a room for less than 100 euro. My hotel of choice especially during the hot summer as the pool is expecially nice. Karl
