I'm getting kid of confused. I had this website bookmarked, can't remember how I found it: ticketstoros.com/ingles/teyc... I was going by the schedule listed there, showing a bullfight on Sept. 4 (which is the only Sunday I would be in Madrid). Then I looked in a guidebook and the only website it listed for bullfight tickets is this: bullfightticketsmadrid.com/i... It has a schedule listed, but it's different and doesn't show ANY dates in September. A different guidebook also listed this website: http://www.las-ventas.com/ But it's all in Spanish. I'm guessing this is the schedule, with was more detailed options for seats/prices: asp.las-ventas.com/fotos10/p... But I can't figure it out. I know I can probably wait and buy tickets once I get there, but I might want to buy them ahead. Any input on deciphering these? I really want to see a bullfight while in Madrid. I was going off of the first website listed, which says there is a bullfight every Sunday. We can't change our itinerary now because we've already booked flights and hotels in some of the other cities we are going to.
Put "las ventas" in the google search box. The first link that comes up is the Las Ventas site and right next to the title, press the translate button - up comes the English version.

Sorry, I have little interest but to help you and I hope you know what a corrida entails. As you consistently use 'bullfight', I doubt it. These may help - gomadrid.com/activity/madrid... ticketstoros.com/ingles/vent...

I have been to bullfights a couple of times in Madrid and i got tickets from the hawkers outside the bullring on the day of the corrida. This never seems to be a problem as long as you are not fuzzy about where in the stadium you sit.

I'm aware of how to use Google translate, thanks, but that's not what I need to know. I'm not clear on why the schedule is different on different websites and I want to know which one is correct. wombatt - Yes, I do know what it entails. If you have no interest in helping me, please don't reply. I am an adult who is very able to make her own decisions, whether it's something you agree with or not. From all of the plenty of reading I have done, corridas are a tradition in parts of Spain. Some people agree and some people do not. Spanish people still attend these events, not just tourists. Heck, I don't even know how I feel about it. But since I will be traveling to Spain from Canada, it's something I would be interested in seeing, probably only the once in my life that I will do so. Claus - Thank you! I've read that as well, that it shouldn't be a problem to get tickets day of. Might end up doing that, if there is actually one on that day!

Well, at the risk of offending, I would have thought that the Las Ventas site would be the one. After all, that is the bull ring in Madrid, but I expect you know that. As to WHY the dates are different on the various sites, I don't know and don't care - I would use the Las Ventas site. And I am sorry that I pointed out how to translate the website - you did say it was all in Spanish, so I assumed, obviously incorrectly, that you were having a problem. We are here to help if we can. We do not deliberately set out to offend.

Karlie85, 'If you have no interest in helping me, please don't reply' - The opposite of what I said and did.

Just one other thing. The cheapest tickets are the ones highest up and in my opinion these spots are really good for getting a good view of the whole spectacle. Being very close to the ring might be the thing for the regulars, but for first timers i think that sitting high up is the best thing.

Whoa, I'm totally embarrased now. Sorry, wombat, I completely misread what you wrote. My apologies. But yes, I still did (do) understand what corridas involve. I read this when I first woke up! Guess I was still groggy. hawkhead - You're right, that would make sense. From some more searching I did, it does appear that Tickets Toros is one of the official ticket sellers, so who knows?! Maybe I'll just buy them when I get there. We will be there on a Sunday, so there shouldn't be a problem. Claus - Thanks for the tip :)

Karlie85, I do not respond or post without reason. I have seen many from your country (and continent) very upset by what you propose to see. It was a lightweight advisory. I could argue much of this, but you may want to see youtube footage. I can think of far better things to do with, is it CAN$50 per head. Very best wishes.

If you are staying at a hotel, I have found the front desk is usually very helpful in directing you, especially in Madrid. You may want to e mail the hotel you are at and ask them for assistance in buying the ticket. Karl
