How long does it take to bike around the island or take a carriage
You can do the bike ride in as little as an hour - it's pretty flat if you stick to the shoreline route. Of course you will probably want to stop and have some breaks to look around and enjoy the views. I would allow 2 hours. Around town and inland it can be pretty hilly, so even though the path that cuts through the middle of the island looks like a shortcut, it's a pretty challenging ride! Although it is a shadier route than along the water... The horse drawn carraige tour that circles the island also gives a tour of the town. I think it lasts 1.5 hours. Enjoy Mackinac! It's one of my favorite places in Michigan!
