Will just have a late evening look at Macau before our flight back to the USA (arrive from bkk at 5:45 pm, will hope to leave bags at airport hotel, then catch ferry to Macao for dinner, walking around, flight back home is at 11:30am next day). Since we probably won't get to Macao till about 9pm are souveniers shops still open? I am assuming I could get souveniers at the Venetian? Also is the facade at st James at accessible at that hour?
You will still be able to see the facade of St Paul' at night - no problem.

There are actually a lot less people at night in the ruins of St. Paul. The fort and the shops that line the path to it might already be closed around that time though.
Souvenirs are available at the Venetian, albeit on the expensive side. There are tourist/souvenir shops along the road to the ruins but as you will be arriving late, they might already be closed.
