Euregio pass?

by groover101 Online Now Apr 1, 2009 at 6:27 AM

Last year my wife and I purchased a 1-day pass at the Maastricht train station which was good for any type travel in the surrounding Limburg and Belgium area. As I recall it was a "Euregio Pass" and I am sure I have misspelled the correct name. We used the pass to travel from Maastricht to Veviers. Veviers was as far as the pass was good for so at Veviers we then purchased bus tickets on to Francorchamps for a day of racing. Are these type passes still available?

A couple of Dutch and German websites say that the pass is still available, although priced at 15 euro already. It is called Euregio Ticket (Maas Rhein region, if you need to specify it in a search engine). As you noted already, it is a great bargain. It is valid till Liege and Hasselt in Belgium, everything to the east of them included more or less; south of Maastricht, and in the region around Aachen in Germany.
