Hello, I will be in Lyon for 2 days and would like to rent a bike for one day... is seeing much of Lyon by bike doable? Does anyone know of a logical path to follow in order to catch the sites? The Smart Bike system has a registration process - Can i register directly at the machine or do I have to do this ahead of time?
Hi, yes you can register directly at the "Velo'v" stations, I'm not sure if they also work with foreign cash or credit cards though. However, a "carte courte durée" will be enough for your purpose. There's plenty of Velo'v stations all over town, certainly at the central tourist spots. You won't have problems finding one.
