Hello, we'd like to travel by a train from the city of Luxembourg to Aachen (Germany). Is it necessary to book train tickets beforehands or can they be easily obtained at the railway station on the day of the departure (or just a day or two before the departure)?

Hi. Were a mature couple driving from Brussell to Strasbourg in July. I was planning to visit Luxembourg City and stay overnight on a Sunday,is it worth the time & effort? Or should we just drive thru and stay in the surrounding country sied?

Is there a bus service that runs between the two locations as I want to see both. Either a regular shuttle or maybe a hop on hop off that stop at the various sites in town. If so would not it make sense for me to park my car at the cemetery and use the bus to see the sites I wish thereby avoiding searching for parking in the city. I was in town a couple of years ago and parking was rather scarce. I thank-you for any information.

Hello all I'm flying into Frankfurt Hahn airport this weekend with the intention of travelling on to Luxembourg city. Apart from car rental in the airport, is there is a shuttle bus that runs from there to the city? If so, how often does it run and is it Ryanair operated? Many thanks everyone DG

I'm a 25 year-old American moving from Columbus, Ohio to Luxembourg City in less than two weeks and have been looking unsuccessfully online for a place to watch American sports - in particular NCAA football and basketball. I plan a trip in the spring. I remember that I saw a special rail deal connecting Luxembourg, Trier, Saarbrucken & Metz. Is there such a pass? If so, how does it work. I plant to base in Trier a few days and it would be good to know. In lieu of that what is the fare between Lux. and Trier and Lux. and Nancy or Metz? Actually I have a latenight flight from Frankfurt Hahn and thot it might be a nice idea to do a day trip arriving at Lux around noon for abt 5 hours to see places. 1. Any idea if the buses from Hahn to Lux is crowded and one needs to book in advance for the journey? Also the costs for a return trip in the same day..One operator says it charges22 per person one way by bus.. is it that expensive? 2. We will arrive in Luxembourg on our way to the Euromeet 2008 in Karlsruhe. We will arrive in the city of Luxembourg around lunchtime on Wednesday 28th May 2008. Does anyone have any suggestions / routes for someone who has never been to Luxembourg (City) and knows very little about i? I'll arriving by train and will probably walk from the station to the centre (if it is not too far). It's a day trip (about 8 hours in the City).

My wife and I (couple in the 50's) are going to visit Luxembourg city as part of our three countries (BENELUX) trip. We will be spending two nights in the city. This is our first trip to this countries. We have travel to other places in Europe before. Any hotel recomendations, places to go, where to shop, what to do in only those days, etc? hello!! I just finished organizing the trip to Brugge for the family, making sure the kids will be entertained as much as possible. Now I need to do a day plan for Luxembourg.
