I am going to Andrea Bocelli's concert in Lajatico, on july 21, 2011. I need to know a close hotel to stay and means of transportations from diferent cities. May be different options, I will be coming from Florence and stay in the area 2 or 3 days. Anybody have any ideas. Thank you

This is not an easy place to access by public transport. There is no railway station (nearest is Pontedera) and bus services from there won't work for a concert. Train times, details and fares in English here: trenitalia.com/homepage_en.h... Bus timetable: cpt.pisa.it/orari/extra/line... I did come across this site which is offering shared transfers for the event from Pisa and Florence: ariannandfriends.com/transfe... May be worth investigating.
