Would you please advise. We are arriving at Toulouse Blagnac airport July 18 at midnight. We only have July 19 to visit Lourdes. What is the earliest transportation to Lourdes from Toulouse. Can we buy it on line in advance? Thank you. Best Regards. Bleny Canales 832 607 8546 13826 Peach Hollow Lane Houston Texas 77082

There is no direct transport to Lourdes from Toulouse airport, you first have to take the shuttle bus (navette) into Toulouse, and train from there. You can't buy the shuttle tickets (€5) online, you have to buy them e.g. from the bus driver: toulouse.aeroport.fr/airport... As I guess you'll miss the 00:15 shuttle, you'll probably have to take a taxi to a hotel for overnight stay and continue the next morning by train. The first train from Toulouse-Matabiau to Lourdes is at 06:00 hrs, arr. 08:24 (and the next should be at 07:31 arr. 09:51, changing in Tarbes: although for 19 June - site kept telling me there was a technical error trying to do anything for 19 July - SNCF-Voyages says the next isn't until 12:36!). Theoretically you can buy train tickets online from SNCF-Voyages (€26.80), but you might just as well buy on the spot. If you do purchase online, when prompted for the country in which you want to collect tickets, select France because if you enter USA you'll be switched to Rail Europe (ticketing agency serving the U.S., which charges higher prices).

Just to confirm those train times (from the current timetable on the regional rail website) : 0600, 0836, 1036, 1236 etc etc However there is an ongoing programme of construction work in the area. You should check the times of the trains for July 19th at www.voyages-sncf.com but perhaps a week or two before travel to ensure that the information is up to date in respect of any late changes. You do not need to buy tickets in advance or make reservations.

Also, the 0731 train mentioned above goes only as far as Tarbes and is overtaken there by the direct fast 0836 train.

ahh toulouse _Lourdes, you got the trains, and there is indeed a navette to matabiau, with train and bus terminal, every 20 minutes I believe. This is the official city transport site for Toulouse in French but it does tell of the navette bus from airport to train, and prices of 5€ tisseo.fr/se-deplacer/navett... Enjoy the trip.

But the last one from the airport is 0015, so with a midnight arrival people are unlikely to make it.
